Welcome to Yair Friedman's home page.

The purpose of this website is to give an overview of my various activities, including Strategic and Mergers & Acquisitions consulting, academic research and the courses that I teach.

Born in Zurich, Switzerland and raised is Israel, I am currently highly active in Strategic Consulting, Investment Banking and M&A Consulting to a variety of firms, starting from start-ups (mainly in the fields of greentech and medical devices) to medium-large Israeli based companies.

Earlier, I held advisory and management positions with numerous American / Israeli consulting and investment bodies, including ERCG Ltd., a leading economic consulting company, IEL, an Israeli investment firm (controlled by the Parkwood Corporation of Cleveland, Ohio), Shamrock Capital (an American Private Equity fund controlled by the Disney Family) and finally, was a co-founder of Eldav Investments (TASE), a publicly traded Investment firm.
At Eldav, I was responsible for deal-flow management, industry and company research for prospective investments, due diligence, financial analysis and Portfolio Company monitoring. I was also responsible for subsidiaries' business development as well as oversight and guidance of top managers and was a member of subsidiaries Management Forum and Board.

I have graduated from the Hebrew University with a B.A. in Economics & Management Science (Magna cum Laude), and hold an MBA degree from The Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration, Tel Aviv University,
Where I am currently a Doctoral Student. My PhD research is focused on Strategic Decision Making, Top Management Teams and Mergers and Acquisitions.
In addition, I lecture at The Leon Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration, Tel Aviv University, a course titled "Strategic Aspects in Mergers & Acquisitions", and teach a similar course at the Graduate School of Business Administration at Bar-Ilan University.

I greatly welcome feedback. For any comments or questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
